Don't let the sight of a Double Decker bus falling down a hole in the road put you of a trip around our wonderful island, these holes only occur in small part of the city and is due to old flint mines, the deepest recorded so far is 100 foot but that is unusual. There is no place safer in this part of the world, we have one of the lowest accident figures compared with London or Paris than any other Island of our size, but we do have a very high rate of suicide hangings in our local prison, which is now under review. We are pleased to state that there has been no Hospital deaths due to disease, accidents or family feuds for the best part of a month, these figures are improving all the time. |
