The Rebellion of Queen Boudica and the Celtic Tribes and Clans had been crushed in the big Roman Battle in 60-62 A.D. and her armies dispersed or killed, but the body of the Queen was never found. The Roman Provinces of Briton now hung in threads so the Roman Establishment would make sure it would never happen again. The Roman Army sent reinforcements from Rome to tighten its grip on the Iceni tribes in Norfolk, and a chain of Forts went up across East Anglia. After the Roman army had hunted down all of Queen Boudica's Tribal Warriors who had returned to Norfolk "The Second Stage of Roman Rule Came."

The Iceni Homelands were to be Romanised through-out and maybe "Caistor St Edmunds near Norwich " was the first to be burnt down and cleared and a large Roman town built, ( Venta Icenorm )market of the"Iceni")  this would now happen all over Norfolk and Suffolk. So what happen to the Iceni well nobody knows as there was very little ever written again in the Roman Annuals. The Romans didn't kill everybody in the towns and many must have hidden in the forests, and maybe Queen Boudica's two red headed daughters escaped to live out they lives and bear many children "we don't know." We do know that the Druid Religion went underground when Rome introduced Christianity into Briton, and found the only way to convert the Britons was to mix the two religions together, that is why so many of Celtic ceremonies and dates surveyed until the present day.

Almost a generation of Iceni men must have been lost in the uprising and defeat , but I would like to think the strong will and stubbornness of the East Anglian men and women did come through the Roman Conquest of Briton. With the eventual return of the Romans back to Rome itself, and within no time at all the East Coast was invaded by New Enemies from Europe. The Iceni in Norfolk were probably totally Romanised or turned into farmer and losing all the skills of being a Warrior Race, this left them easy prey to all.   As the years went by we were invaded by many different races from all over Europe the Saxons, Danes, Vikings up to the Norman’s in 1066. Did the Iceni survive through time, have we still got our own Royal King or Queen somewhere in the wide stretches of the Norfolk country side, or have we all deep down inside of us the feeling of our forefathers of being a ......

"Great and Fearsome Warrior Race waiting to Return."
